These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Discord bot named blood, its commands, components, support services, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). blood is an independent project operated by the blood Development Team (“blood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). blood is not Discord, is not endorsed by Discord, and is not affiliated with Discord Inc. or Discord Netherlands B.V.

By inviting blood, authorizing it in a Discord server, running a command, clicking one of its components, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use blood and remove it from servers you control.

1. Eligibility and authority

  1. You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement and any higher minimum age required in your country.
  2. You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Community Guidelines, and all laws that apply to you.
  3. If you invite, configure, or use blood on behalf of a server or organization, you represent that you have permission to do so and authority to grant the Discord permissions you select.
  4. Server owners and administrators are responsible for informing their members that blood is present and for configuring blood lawfully, particularly features involving message logs, moderation records, deleted-message history, security monitoring, tickets, or automated actions.

2. What blood provides

blood provides Discord server management and community features, including moderation, warning and case records, role management, logging, setup automation, security and anti-abuse tools, tickets, temporary voice channels, welcome and boost messages, embeds, reminders, birthdays, information lookups, games, media, music, and other utilities.

Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, limited, suspended, or removed. Command output is provided for convenience and may occasionally be inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or affected by Discord or another provider.

3. Free service and possible future paid features

  1. blood is currently provided free of charge.
  2. We may introduce optional paid features, subscriptions, one-time purchases, usage limits, premium tiers, or paid server plans in the future. We may also move a current feature into or out of a paid tier.
  3. You will not be charged without an express purchase or authorization. Any price, billing period, renewal rule, cancellation method, refund rule, and additional paid-service terms will be disclosed before purchase and will comply with Discord’s then-current monetization requirements where applicable.
  4. Continued free availability, permanent access to a feature, and preservation of any particular limits are not guaranteed.
  5. A future paid offering will not make Discord API data available for sale. blood does not sell or commercialize Discord user data.

4. Acceptable use

You may use blood only for legitimate server administration, moderation, entertainment, and community purposes. You must not use or attempt to use blood to:

  • violate law, Discord rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or another person’s rights;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, dox, defraud, exploit, impersonate, or coordinate raids against anyone;
  • distribute malware, illegal content, non-consensual intimate material, child sexual abuse material, or content that creates a serious safety risk;
  • obtain passwords, account tokens, private credentials, financial information, health information, or other sensitive data from users;
  • evade a Discord or blood suspension, blacklist, restriction, rate limit, permission check, or security measure;
  • exploit bugs, probe infrastructure without written permission, interfere with availability, overload commands, or automate abusive requests;
  • use logging, snipe, name-history, tracking, or information commands for unlawful surveillance or profiling;
  • use music or media features to infringe copyright, bypass access controls, or access material you are not entitled to use;
  • use blood to inflate server membership, fake engagement, mass-message users, or send unsolicited advertising;
  • copy, resell, sublicense, misrepresent, or claim ownership of blood or access to blood, except where a third-party open-source license expressly permits use of that component.

Responsible vulnerability reports may be submitted through a # Tickets. Do not publicly disclose an unpatched vulnerability or use it to access data.

5. Powerful and destructive commands

Some commands can ban or remove members, modify roles and permissions, delete messages or channels, create webhooks, lock a server, move voice members, or otherwise materially change a server. By running such a command, you confirm that:

  • you understand the requested action and supplied target;
  • you have the required authority and a lawful reason;
  • you have reviewed Discord’s permission hierarchy and blood’s response;
  • you accept responsibility for server-side effects initiated under your account or roles.

blood may add confirmation, cooldown, hierarchy, Fake Permission, audit, or ownership checks, but those safeguards do not replace administrator judgment. Restore and backup features are best-effort and cannot guarantee recovery from every Discord-side change.

6. Server configuration and administrator responsibility

Server owners and administrators decide which channels, roles, logs, automatic responses, filters, security thresholds, ticket panels, temporary voice systems, and moderation features to enable. They are responsible for:

  • selecting appropriate bot and member permissions;
  • limiting private log and ticket access;
  • avoiding collection or display of unnecessary personal or sensitive information;
  • reviewing automatic anti-nuke, anti-raid, filter, autoresponder, role, and moderation decisions;
  • providing notices or obtaining consent where required by applicable law;
  • responding to member concerns about server-controlled records or Discord messages.

blood does not control how server administrators use information that blood posts into their Discord channels. Administrators should delete or correct those Discord messages when appropriate.

7. User content and command input

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant blood a limited, non-exclusive permission to process, reproduce, transform, and transmit that content only as necessary to execute the requested feature, store a configuration or record you requested, provide support, secure the Service, or comply with law.

Do not submit content you lack the right to use. Do not place passwords, tokens, payment data, protected health information, or other highly sensitive material in commands, embeds, tickets, reminders, logs, proofs, tags, autoresponders, or other blood-managed fields.

8. Music, media, and third-party content

Music and media commands may use third-party websites and tools to locate or play a source. blood transmits audio into Discord but is designed to join voice channels self-deafened and not self-muted. blood does not need to receive, record, transcribe, or analyze member voice audio.

You are responsible for ensuring that your requested content and use are lawful. Availability depends on the source provider, Discord, network conditions, regional restrictions, and technical compatibility. blood may refuse, stop, or fail to play a source and does not promise permanent access to any third-party content.

9. Enforcement, blacklisting, and refusal of service

We may warn, restrict, suspend, blacklist, or terminate access for a user or server when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • enforce these Terms or Discord’s rules;
  • protect users, blood, Discord, or third parties;
  • respond to abuse, security threats, excessive load, fraud, or legal requirements;
  • prevent evasion of an earlier restriction;
  • discontinue or change the Service.

When blood first detects that it was added to a blacklisted server, it may send a notice to a suitable channel and leave. Later invite attempts may cause blood to leave without another notice. Blacklist and security records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. You may appeal through a # Tickets, but an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.

10. Availability, changes, and maintenance

blood is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, a particular response time, compatibility with every server, or freedom from all errors. Discord outages, API changes, rate limits, third-party failures, maintenance, internet failures, power loss, and software defects may interrupt the Service.

We may deploy fixes, restart blood, change commands or aliases, modify storage formats, impose limits, or discontinue features without preserving exact past behavior. We will try to avoid unnecessary data loss and to communicate material user-facing changes when practical.

11. Privacy and data

blood processes Discord and user-provided data only to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service as explained in the Privacy Policy. blood does not sell Discord API data, disclose it to data brokers or advertising networks, or use Discord message content to train machine-learning models.

If blood leaves or is removed from a server, guild-scoped data is normally retained for 24 hours to allow accidental removal recovery and is then deleted by the retention service. Exceptions and other retention periods are explained in the Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual property and third-party software

blood’s original source code, branding, designs, documentation, and service arrangement are owned by their respective operator or licensors. blood also uses third-party and open-source components governed by their own licenses. These Terms do not override those licenses or grant ownership of Discord, source-provider, or third-party content.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the hosted Service in accordance with these Terms. No right is granted to obtain private credentials or private source materials.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, blood is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, data preservation, or error-free operation. Moderation, security, identity resolution, permission analysis, reminders, lookups, and automated decisions are tools-not professional, legal, safety, financial, or factual guarantees.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the blood Development Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; loss of data, roles, channels, access, revenue, reputation, or opportunity; third-party conduct; or an administrator’s misuse of commands.

Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly for blood during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. Nothing limits liability where limitation is prohibited, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Termination

You may stop using blood at any time. A server owner can remove blood from a server, subject to Discord’s controls. We may stop operating all or part of blood or terminate access under Section 9.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination-including ownership, enforcement records, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute provisions-will survive. Data handling after termination follows the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as blood develops, including if paid features are introduced or legal/platform requirements change. The current version will be posted in the designated Terms channel. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when practical. Urgent security, safety, legal, or Discord-mandated changes may take effect immediately.

Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using blood and remove it from servers you control.

17. General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and blood concerning the Service. If one provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remainder will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our permission. These Terms do not override mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

Applicable law and courts will be determined by the law that applies to the blood operator and the user, including any mandatory consumer protections. Before filing a dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
